This food tour takes you around an island steeped in history, yet looking to the future. It's a very special place - all who visit it leave a little bit of their heart here. I know I have.

At Sarah’s Watershed Cafe, we start in a traditional way but with a modern twist - soda bread or potato bread and either goat bacon or quails’ eggs! Sarah and her husband are building a wonderful business here as well as a growing family.

The historic Kelp Store is next - there are many plans for this amazing building. The views from here are second to none - a unique spot to have a picnic provided for us by Boyle’s Deli, Ballycastle. Dart Mountain Cheese, local relish, wheaten bread and a glass of Glens of Antrim Craft Ales and Beer’s Rathlin Red. A perfect picnic in a perfect place. Even on a wet day, your heart will sing. (I won’t though - that would be cruel. You can, if you like!)

A wee dander (small walk) past Mill Bay, up around to McCuaig’s where we’ll have a very traditional bowl of soup or plate of stew - sure, you have to! Catriona’s reputation as a hostess providing good food and great craic (music and laughter) is growing far and wide.

Finally, we’ll walk over to the Manor House, where Brian and Geraldine are our hosts. They have recently re-opened this beautifully restored building on behalf of the Rathlin Development and Community Association as an enchanting modern Guest House. We’ll have a cup of tea or coffee and a sweet treat to finish our tour in style.
