Quarry Hill Church

About

Quarry Hill Church can truly be described as unique. The local owners rescued it from ruin, restoring it to its former glory and converting it into luxury tourist accommodation in 2019.

The property has recently been announced as the winner in the category “Best Rescue of An Historic Building” in the prestigious Heritage Angel Awards 2019.

The centrepiece of the church is the massive open plan double height space comprising of zones for kitchen, dining and lounge seating around a large wood stove. Light streams in from the huge windows. It is the perfect social space.
Many original features are retained such as the pulpit, organ, ornate plaster work, wooden floors and panelling.

There are 5 double bedrooms with comfortable king and super king beds. 3 bedrooms have an option of being set up as twin rooms on request. 3 bedrooms are located on ground level, 2 upstairs.

4 bedrooms have private bathrooms with the 5th having direct access to the family bathroom.
All finishes are to the highest specification from the kitchen, to bathrooms to heating and lighting systems. High speed internet is available throughout with smart TVs in all rooms.

Set in quiet leafy grounds the church has BBQ facilities and garden seating. Located at the edge of the village there are beautiful views over rolling green fields and across Castleward Bay to the nearby Game of Thrones® Winterfell set.
A separate laundry room in the grounds doubles as a secure lock up for bicycles, golf clubs or other equipment.
The church is child friendly. Travel cots and high chairs are available on request.

A generous welcome pack is provided with essential provisions and local produce. All essential household items are supplied.

The church layout lends itself to corporate events and training/activity days and group activities such as walking / cycling tours and golf.

Strangford is one of Ireland's prettiest seaside villages. Just 1 hour from Belfast and 2 hours from Dublin it is an ideal base to tour much of Ireland. It is blessed with many quality shops, restaurants and bars within a short walk. We can arrange for restaurant meals to be delivered.
