Ocho Tapas Bistro

About

Ocho Tapas Bistro is the brainchild of Sean and Trudy Brolly who both grew up in the heart of Portrush.

Quality restaurant on the north coast of Ireland close to the Giant's Causeway in the seaside town of Portrush. With a great selection of wines and local beers . Serving fresh local seafood and freshly prepared dishes using locally sourced produce. In a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Also accommodating vegetarian, vegan and gluten free dietary requirements. Childrens menu available.

Trudy and Sean Brolly opened the Restaurant in 2015 after following long careers in Catering and Trudy bringing her love and passion of Spanish cooking to Ireland after spending 19 years in Spain. Also with Sean's interest in Wines and Sherries they make a great team.

Trudy the Owner/Chef, responsible for the beautifully plated sensational food, was trained at the Catering College in Portrush. After working locally for a period of time Trudy moved to Spain where she lived for over twenty years and fell in love with the Spanish Cuisine. Trudy decided to return to her roots and bring her love of Spanish food back with her to the Causeway Coast. They go to great lengths to source quality local products such as Kettyle Beef and Ballinteer Quail Farm produce. Of course being located in a fishing resort, fresh fish – the catch of the day, is then turned into a flavoursome daily special which is full of freshness and also packs a punch.

Award Winning Restaurant 2015 , 2016. 2017, 2018 and 2019

The Mantra of Ocho Tapas is ‘Sharing is Caring’ and this is exactly what Tapas is about, sharing small plates of food in a relaxed environment. It is a wonderful way to sample a variety of foods and have as much or a little as you like of each dish.
