About

Perfectly located to explore Northern Ireland, Middle Cottage is just 8 miles from Belfast City and 3 miles from the historic town of Saintfield with its many cafes and antique shops. The cottage is bright and airy with all mod cons including wifi. Middle Cottage is completely separate from the main house and provides privacy and safety if guests are self isolating or need secure accommodation during Covid.

The space

Middle Cottage is perfectly located to explore Belfast and the surrounding countryside by foot, road or bike.

Middle Cottage is detached. There is a double bed in the mezzanine bedroom which is accessed by a spiral staircase. On the ground floor there is a shower room, double sofa bed, seating area, TV and kitchen with breakfast bar. The cottage is well equipped with induction hob, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher and fridge. Outside there is a seating area and barbecue - guests are welcome to make use of any area of the half acre gardens.

Belfast city centre is 20 minutes by car where an excellent range of restaurants, bars, cafes and shops can be found as well as the Botanic Gardens and city museums and galleries. There are plenty of opportunities to discover more about Northern Ireland's unique history and cultural heritage.

We are located within easy reach of the famous Mountains of Mourne which included Slieve Donard, the highest mountain in Northern Ireland. The Mournes are an area of outstanding natural beauty and an adventurers paradise with biking, rock climbing, walking and kayaking just some of the activities on offer.

We are also in a super location for road biking with miles of quiet country roads frequently used by cyclists.
