About

Lowry's Lake is a favourite with members and visitors.
The lake is stocked regularly Rainbow Trout , Brown Trout and due to location it is fished hard. The trout become educated and a thoughtful approach is required for success. Hotspots are the Kildarton Shore and The Ramper area on the West side of the lake.
Wading is not advisable on the East side due to deep water and sudden drop off's (CARE TO BE TAKEN AT ALL TIMES). Access is good, the whole perimeter of the lake can be walked and car parking is available.
Most seasons' browns of 7-lb are caught, along with many fish in the 3-lb category. There is a bag limit of six trout even if all are returned, and a size limit of 12 inches, the lake is FLY FISHING only.
To hire a boat telephone the Hatchery on (028) 3751 1738 before 11:30. Price per 1/2 day is £10. Non-member must be with a full member when fishing , only two people per boat. Junior member must be with an ADULT Member.

A D.C.A.L licence is required (£17 game). Armagh Angling Club permits are £15 per day (4 fish limit) or £100 per season (£120 for new members), Junior members £20. Licences can be got at the following tackle shops.
