About

Established in 1766 this truly traditional County Antrim pub provides a warm welcome for locals and tourists. When restrictions allow along, There is traditional music every Friday night while on Saturday night the occasional musical flavour is typically folk. Late opening until 01:00 allows plenty of time to enjoy the atmosphere of this well established pub.

The House of McDonnell is mentioned in a number of traditional Irish poems and songs; they, and many others, are regularly performed during the Friday night traditional music sessions throughout the year, when musicians from all over Ireland come to play in one the best known traditional music venues in the world.
