Immerse yourself in St Patrick's Country at The Home of Saint Patrick Festival 2018. It promises a lively and varied showcase of the best culture, music, song and dance hosting many exciting Irish and international artists who come together to celebrate the Spiritual Father of Ireland with specially curated events amidst a bumper programme suitable for all tastes.

The festival will provide an unrivalled mix of regional and international music, theatre, spoken word, art and comedy, showcasing the stunning locations where he walked and worked.

Armagh Highlights

Visitors can enjoy the work of world renowned artists and performers including Kim Haughton, whose ‘Portrait of a Century’ exhibition (12 March-5 May) features throughout the festival and Portuguese Fado singer ‘Carminho’ (15 March).

Explore the mysteries of the night sky during the time of Saint Patrick at Starry, Starry Night’ (9 March).

Walk in the footsteps of Saint Patrick and sample culinary delicacies and beverages with links to France and Nigeria (18 March).

Why not follow in St. Patricks' footstep and forage for food as he once did at the Navan Centre (18 March).

Other events include Rhythms for the Saint, with drummers from across the world, food and walking tours, and of course the Saint Patrick's Day procession.

Down Highlights

The opening event includes the unveiling of a Mourne granita replica of St Patrick's Cross at Down Cathedral (9 March) and a traditonal evening of song and dance.

Relax in stunning surroundings for a spot of afternoon tea at Slieve Donard Hotel Resort & Spa, Newcastle (11 March).

For musicals fans, enjoy Patrick the Musical as he tells the stories of his amazing life journey through vibrant colour and song, Downpatrick (13 - 14 March).

Also take in the stunning landscapes around St Patrick's Country with a St Patrick's Day Walk, Strangford (17 March).

There are a host of family fun activities including a cross-community carnival with music, song and dance for the whole family, Newry & Downpatrick (17 March).

Enjoy the festival's closing concert with Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland with popular songs and movie theme classics, Newry (17 March).
