Glens Storytelling Festival

This is a 5-day storytelling and music festival based along the Causeway Coastal Route all the way from Ballycastle and Rathlin Island to Whitehead.

This annual event celebrates the rich cultural heritage of the area. The festival will include storytellers and musicians from the local area as well as featured guests from the rest of Northern Ireland, England, Scotland and the Republic of Ireland.

This year’s artists include the legendary singer songwriter John Spillane from County Cork, as well as storytellers Ruth Kirkpatrick (Scotland), Daniel Morden (Wales) and Marianne McShane (County Down/Connecticut). New highlights this year will include Food and Story tours featuring the finest of local produce and tales. The aim is to show off some of our finest local scenery so there will be a walk round the waterfalls in Glenariff Forest Park and also in Glenarm Forest where visitors will get the chance to see our native red squirrels.

Events will be varied so that the whole family can take part and there will opportunities for lost of participation. During story-swaps and workshops where visitors can develop their own storytelling skills and share a story with the locals.

Come and enjoy the finest storytelling in some of the most beautiful spots Northern Ireland has to offer.
