Dittys Home Bakery And Coffee Shop

About

We’re a local, family-run business that’s been making our award-winning breads, cakes, biscuits, pies and of course, our famous oatcakes for many years. People still love them just as much today, as ever, here at home and increasingly all around the world.

The bakery was founded by Bobby Ditty, the father of our managing director Robert Ditty, in Castledawson in Northern Ireland back in 1963. Robert took over the business twenty years later and has overseen its continued expansion into new markets and new product ranges.

But one thing we’ve never changed is our commitment to traditional methods for producing hand–crafted baked goods, and using the finest locally sourced ingredients.

However, traditional doesn’t mean old–fashioned. We’re innovative bakers, always experimenting with new flavours and combinations, new ways to bring you fresh, exciting and above all, tasty ideas.

Here in the bakery we’re busy creating things for you to enjoy every day – delicious, fresh breads, savoury pies, cakes (and of course, ‘wee buns’!). We also make our famous oatcakes, biscuits and shortbread here for you to enjoy and share any time.

As an artisan, craft bakery, we still make our products the traditional way, and we insist on using the finest quality locally sourced ingredients where possible. We believe you really can taste the difference – whether it’s a fresh crusty loaf, a slice of cake or a single oatcake.
