About
Barr Hall Barns consists of three 18th Century period cottages in an outstanding tranquil location with panoramic views across Strangford Lough to the Mourne Mountains.
We are based just outside the seaside village of Portaferry, at the very southern tip of the Ards Peninsula, overlooking Barr Hall Bay, a seal basking location protected by the National Trust. The bay is a haven for overwintering waders, lapwings, oyster catchers, and a multitude of gulls.
With idyllic walking routes right at our doorstep, come escape to an area of natural outstanding beauty and enter the truly magical setting of Barr Hall Barns.
The Barn is a two storey three-bedroom barn with an internal balcony overlooking the lounge area. It can sleep six people. There are facilities for the disabled and wheelchair access including a downstairs bedroom with two single beds and adjacent shower room. The ground floor is tiled throughout for easy movement. Upstairs are two further bedrooms– one with a double bed and the other with two single beds. There is a bathroom upstairs. Many of the original beams and stonework have been preserved in the renovation. The overall layout is open plan to allow the whole family to enjoy all aspects of holiday life.
