An upcoming show in Omagh is set to pay tribute to one of the greatest ever writers of literature in Northern Ireland and the rest of the world.
A performance of An Ulster Address to Rabbie Burns takes place at the Strule Arts Centre on October 10th, a celebration of the great Celtic poet, who had a huge influence on literature in Northern Ireland.
The show is intended to celebrate the 250th birthday of the Scottish bard, whose legacy lives on in Auld Lang Syne, which is sung by millions of people around the world each New Year's Eve.
Actors and musicians will take to the stage to perform a number of song, dance and music routines, with a narration throughout which will highlight Burns' contribution to Ulster culture.
For those wishing to celebrate a different kind of literature in Northern Ireland, the Strule Arts Centre's Lecture Theatre will also be hosting Time to Rhyme on October 10th, where school poems from yesteryear will be recalled and reminisced over.
