A new museum charting the history of the Titanic is to be built in Belfast, adding to the list of attractions in Northern Ireland.
The scheme is worth more than £100 million and will be constructed on the site where the ship was originally built in 1912.
Named the Titanic Signature Project, the attraction will span five floors and detail the country's maritime history, giving those enjoying travel in Northern Ireland the chance to learn about one of the most iconic ships ever built.
Construction work is set to begin on the development early next year, with the centre scheduled to open in 2012.
Tourism minister Arlene Foster told the Belfast Telegraph it will attract tourists to the city and the rest of the country.
"It provides Belfast and Northern Ireland with a tremendous opportunity to develop an iconic, world-class visitor destination, achieving international standout and delivering the economic and social benefits such a tourist attraction can bring," she stated.
The Titanic left Belfast on April 2nd 1912.
