Spooky events in Belfast 'will be the best yet'

29 October 2009 -

People visiting Belfast this weekend are in for one of the best Halloween celebrations that the city has ever held, it has been claimed.

The organisers of this year's festivities have promised attendees that the activities in Northern Ireland's capital being held to mark the occasion will scare and delight in equal measure.

Among the attractions in the city centre on October 31st will be the Monster Mash 2009, which will see a collection of costumed characters converging at Clarendon Dock for singing, dancing, street tricks and some of the finest music in Northern Ireland.

During the day, stalls at St. George's Market will also be selling seasonal foods such as pumpkins and a series of arts and crafts workshops will be held at City Hall to get people in the mood.

Other activities in Northern Ireland being held to mark Halloween include the Banks of the Foyle Carnival in Londonderry, also known as Derry, where street performances and screenings of horror movies are among the highlights.ADNFCR-1859-ID-19432908-ADNFCR
