Spectrum of sports in Northern Ireland is 'unique'

The range of different sports in Northern Ireland has been described as "one of a kind" by Joe Lewins, the managing director of Ladbrokes Northern Ireland.

He made the declaration after announcing the bookmakers is to deliver a total of £116,000 worth in sponsorship to the various sports in the country, including agreements with the Irish Football Association, the Belfast Giants, Ulster Rugby and Derry GAA.

Mr Lewins said it is vital that sport is supported at all levels to allow it to flourish and provide entertainment for locals and people planning to travel in Northern Ireland.

"The spectrum of sports in Northern Ireland is one of a kind and we are committed to developing opportunities to support this unique mix at both a regional and grass roots level," he stated.

In other news, Northern Ireland defeated San Marino 3-0 in a World Cup qualifying match on Wednesday (February 11th).

Sports fans planning to travel in Northern Ireland can see the team take on Poland at Windsor Park on March 28th.
