A new scheme is to highlight the beautiful nature in Northern Ireland by providing guided tours around Belfast.
Parks Heritage Week will take place from September 7th to 11th and will see hundreds of visitors taking a stroll in the open air while they learn about historical events in Northern Ireland and peruse the flora and fauna on display.
Belfast community and cultural officer Ben Simon will lead the walks and point out ancient trees, ice houses, walled land, old mansions and deer parks.
"These walks offer a chance to take a little more time and learn about the history and heritage of some of our best loved parks. They are fascinating landscapes and are well worth exploring," he explained.
Meanwhile, a recent poll by Travelodge put Belfast in fourth place on the list of top UK holiday locations, thanks to the huge number of events in Northern Ireland's capital city.
