Cherrybomb and Peacefire will both have their US premieres next month at the event, which will attract film buffs from around the world.

The film tells the tale of two teenagers who aim to have an eventful summer after finishing their exams but a girl, Miranda, mixes their plans up.

Peacefire takes a different tone and is based on one man living in a Northern Ireland estate during the peace process.

Both films will be shown at the second annual Los Angeles event, which runs from September 23rd until 27th.

Cherrybomb has already been shown at the Cannes Film Festival and the Belfast Film Festival, where it was praised by Michelle Devlin, the festival's director.ADNFCR-1859-ID-19322084-ADNFCR
