Holidaymakers looking for art events in Northern Ireland will be able to win a set of framed prints by a Turner prize-nominated artist at a raffle in Londonderry, also known as Derry.
On May 16th, lucky punters can pick up the three limited-edition archival inkjet prints of stills from a recent video work by Willie Doherty, which are valued at around £3,000, for £20 at Void Gallery on Patrick Street.
Mr Doherty is professor of video art at the University of Ulster who has had many one person and museum exhibitions, including at the Irish Museum of Modern Art, Musee d'Art Moderne in Paris and Tate Liverpool.
Money raised by the raffle will go to educational development charity Suas, which sends students to work as volunteers with Indian primary and secondary schools, helping to improve education opportunities for thousands of children in the country.
Throughout the summer, galleries across Belfast will open on Sundays to allow those seeking activities in Northern Ireland to view innovative art and performances.
The initiative will see the Belfast Print Workshop in Cotton Court open its gallery from 11:00 BST to 16:00 BST and conduct Sunday afternoon workshops.
