Omagh to stage adventurous events in Northern Ireland

6 November 2009 -

A number of exciting events in Northern Ireland are taking place this weekend, aimed purely at adults.

Omagh is staging the Adult Adventure Break all weekend, with locals and tourists invited to sign up for three days of outdoor pursuits and indoor fun.

Taking place in the village of Gortin, those in attendance will be able to take part in orienteering sessions and go mountain biking on the hilly terrain, as well as test their nerves at archery.

The evenings will see participants come together in the local pubs to try some of the great food in Northern Ireland, in addition to sampling the local ales and Guinness while attempting the It's Not a Pub Quiz game.

Meanwhile, the nearby Strule Arts Centre will host an evening of nostalgia with Johnny McEvoy on Saturday night (November 7th), when the folk favourite takes to the stage to perform a mixture of traditional music in Northern Ireland and tales from his career.ADNFCR-1859-ID-19447026-ADNFCR
