The wide range of attractions in Northern Ireland have been joined by a new addition - an iconic artwork in Belfast.
A 20-foot structure has been erected near Invernook Gardens as part of the Re-imaging Communities programme, which highlights the excellent work which has gone into enhancing many areas of Belfast.
The structure is a mast with flags on top and has been created by artist David Dudgeon along with students from local craft workshops, who wanted to celebrate the city's shipbuilding heritage.
"Being involved in this project has been really enjoyable; the enthusiasm demonstrated by each group taking part was truly the defining ingredient in shaping this artwork and, I hope, will have created a real sense of pride," Mr Dudgeon said.
The artwork is one of many new attractions in Northern Ireland created as part of the Re-imaging Communities programme, with murals, ceramic mosaics and steel structures all recently unveiled throughout Belfast.
