'New Floyd' coming to Belfast

17 April 2009 -

Nostalgic music fans heading to Northern Ireland for their holidays will be able to see tribute band The Australian Pink Floyd Show performing at the Belfast Odyssey later this month.

On April 26th, those looking for music events in Northern Ireland will be able to see the group that the Daily Mail says "do Pink Floyd better than Floyd do themselves".

The performers are currently celebrating the 30th anniversary of the release of seminal 1979 classic rock opera The Wall on the UK leg of their European tour.

According to the Odyssey Arena, The Wall has not been performed live on this scale for over 25 years, since Pink Floyd toured it themselves, and The Australian Pink Floyd Show has put together a new performance of the complete album, in which every musical piece is created note-for-note.

From April 28th to 30th, pop princesses Girls Aloud will play three shows at Belfast's Odyssey Arena, where they will perform hits from their latest number one album Out Of Control and classic pop tracks from previous releases Sound Of The Underground, What Will The Neighbours Say and Chemistry.
