Changes to the Ulster Way could make the route perfect for walkers looking to take in nature in Northern Ireland, a commentator claims.
Rhiannon Batten, writing for the Guardian, states that the 625-mile route takes in some of the country's most famous sights, including the Giant's Causeway.
She says that other sites along the route include the Cliffs of Magho and Cavehill, with the relaunched path being designed with practicality in mind.
Chris Scott, speaking on behalf of the Countryside Access and Activities Network, says that 90 per cent of those taking the route only do certain stretches at a time.
He tells the news provider: "With the old Ulster Way, people would have done the whole route and you can still do that but we've divided the new route up into what we would call quality sections and link sections."
In other news, first minister Peter Robinson has revealed that the Crumlin Road Gaol has agreed to continue offering tours in Northern Ireland for another year due to popular demand.
