The roses in Lisburn have been honoured with a top award for highlighting the beautiful nature in Northern Ireland.
Judges for the Translink Ulster in Bloom Awards deemed that Lisburn's roses were the best in the country and provide visitors and locals alike with a sample of the flora that Northern Ireland has to offer.
Mayor of Lisburn Allan Ewart said the award is "fantastic" and he hopes that more people will sample the beautiful nature in Northern Ireland that is on display throughout the region.
"Lisburn City Council is dedicated to providing a pleasant, attractive environment for residents and visitors alike. It believes that a well-maintained place speaks 'bunches' about its residents and how we live in Lisburn," he stated.
The city had more to cheer recently when its first ever hotel opened, the Premier Inn and Linen House restaurant, which will provide visitors with some of the tastiest food and most comfortable accommodation in Northern Ireland.
