The Fleadh Thir Eoghain music festival will head to beautiful Dromore this summer to celebrate its 50th anniversary from June 19th to 21st.
It will be the second time in three years the village has hosted the event and this year a number of special events will include a talk on the local history at the official opening by Omagh town councillor Pat McDonnell, followed by a marching parade through the village with performances by special guests Mickey Harte, Tadhg Maher and officers of Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann.
Omagh County Council commented: "Throughout the weekend there will be dancing each night in St. Patrick's Hall, there will be ongoing sessions in pubs and impromptu street performances."
The festivities will kick off at 20:00 BST on Friday and the weekend's events will conclude on Sunday evening with a cultural parade through the town.
From July 15th to 19th, the towns of Castlewellan and Newcastle will host the Celtic Fusion International Musical Arts Festival, which will see musicians including Mairtin O'Connor, Cathel Hayden, Seamie O'Dowd and Jimmy Higgins performing throughout the towns' pubs and intimate venues.
