A new ruling over the main transport hub in Londonderry, also known as Derry, may lead to increased travel in Northern Ireland.
Steps have been taken to advance the governance reform and private investment programme for the City of Derry Airport, which would see the recruitment of non-executive directors.
Colum Eastwood, chairman of the City of Derry Airport Committee, said it is a step closer to establishing the hub as an "economic driver" supporting travel in Northern Ireland.
"The process for recruiting non-executive directors has commenced and is an opportunity for individuals to support the future development of City of Derry Airport through strategic and dynamic leadership," he explained.
Those using the airport to travel to Northern Ireland can catch a number of events in the city this month, including the Foyle Film Festival, which takes place from November 20th to 28th.
