Kintra to perform a mix of music in Northern Ireland

16 November 2009 -

One of the most acclaimed Celtic bands in the UK will descend on Omagh to perform a mixture of music in Northern Ireland.

Kintra will take to the stage at the Strule Arts Centre on November 26th for an evening of traditional Irish and Scottish music in a set which will blend elements from both cultures.

The 12-piece band performed their debut show in February last year and have enjoyed a meteoric rise to prominence, appearing before the government on St. Patrick's Day and enjoying sold-out shows at the Aleey Teghatre in Strabane.

Now, the group is coming to Omagh to perform their fast-moving music in Northern Ireland, with ballad singer Tom Sweeney and Sollus Total Dance also taking to the stage to accompany the band.

Having perfected their current routine at venues including the Great Hall at Stormont and at Áras an Uachtaráin, Kintra singers Zara Montgomery and Karol Harvey will be in good shape to accompany the bagpipes, tin whistles, piano and drums during a celebration of music in Northern Ireland.ADNFCR-1859-ID-19461260-ADNFCR
