Jet2.com releases flights to Belfast

25 August 2009 -

People travelling to events in Northern Ireland will now be able to catch a plane from Blackpool Airport, after Jet2.com launched its new schedule.

The Leeds-based company has revealed the summer schedule for next year and has put Belfast as one of the locations for its Blackpool flights.

Travellers looking for a cheap trip to a non-eurozone destination can travel to Northern Ireland with flights starting from £19.99 one way, including taxes.

Philip Meeson, chief executive of Jet2.com, said the new summer schedule has been launched earlier than in previous years.

"Blackpool Airport provides a great service for people across the north-west, especially as it is so easily accessible for people across the region," he added.

It is thought many people will want to catch flights to Belfast next year, after its popularity was boosted this year when it came fourth in the top places people want to visit before they die.

The poll from Travelodge also saw the Northern Irish location placed third when people were questioned about the sexiest accents.ADNFCR-1859-ID-19328895-ADNFCR
