Those hoping to trace back their family tree will be able to attend a number of events in Northern Ireland's capital later this month.
An evening of ancestry will take place on October 28th to mark the reopening of the historic City Hall, with a range of activities planned.
Attendees will be given information on how to begin tracing their roots, particularly those whose ancestors resided in Belfast.
Experts will be on hand to deliver talks on the best way to trace families, with historian Glenn Patterson also discussing researching his own family history for his latest book Once Upon a Hill: Love in a Troubled Time.
Those wanting to learn more about the historical events in Northern Ireland's capital may wish to a pay a visit to the new pyramid sculpture which has been installed opposite Ballysillan Primary School, depicting famous scenes such as the Titanic and the city's Viking heritage.
