HRT returns to Grand Opera House

8 June 2009 -

Classic comedy play Women On The Verge Of HRT opens today for a two-week run at Belfast's Grand Opera House.

The story tells the tale of two middle-aged, fanatical fans of singer Daniel O'Donnell, who travel to Donegal to have tea at the star's annual party.

Vera and Anna meet a handsome young waiter at the hotel where the party is held, when events take a turn and the women are forced to reflect seriously on their lives.

Writer Marie Jones commented that the show is back at the Grand Opera House this year by popular demand.

"The audience response last year was just brilliant, so after speaking with the theatre director John Botteley, Martin Lynch, Dan Gordon and myself decided to bring it back again this year," she said.

From August 24th to September 5th, musical Chicago starring Gary Wilmot as Billy Flynn and Emma Barton as Roxie Hart will be shown at the Grand Opera House.
