23 September 2008 -

People travelling to Northern Ireland in search of golfing activities will not be disappointed by the courses in the country.

Research from Bushmills Whiskey Distillery, in its top list of attractions in the area, says the golf courses are both some of the finest and toughest in the world.

The Portstewart course has been identified as one to visit with some saying the opening hole is the best in Irish golf, classing it as an "absolute stunner".

For those who prefer a more active sport, a trip to the seaside should be on the agenda, where kite-surfing and conventional surfing are on offer.

According to the source, people visit the area from as far afield as Australia and New Zealand as the waves are so good.

For history lovers a visit to the Giant's Causeway can be made, which is the only World Heritage site in Northern Ireland.

Cyclists can also find "breathtaking views" on a route running from Castlerock along the North Antrim coast.

Those who prefer a gentler holiday can go and see Lee Evans in concert on October 15th at the Odyssey Arena.ADNFCR-1859-ID-18791982-ADNFCR
