Folk festival to entertain with music in Northern Ireland

27 October 2009 -

An upcoming festival will entertain people with some of the most authentic music in Northern Ireland.

The North Coast Folk Festival begins this Thursday (October 29th) and will see dozens of acts descend on Portrush and Portstewart over the weekend to perform music in Northern Ireland.

Artists taking to the stage at the four-day event, which will also feature gigs in Portballintrae and Coleraine, include Whiskey in the Jar, The Corncrakes and Alan Murphy.

Murphy will bring his guitar to the Preference Brasserie, Portstewart, before playing his music in Northern Ireland at Crusoe's in Castlerock on October 31st, alongside Michael Hassan and Dave Gibb, who will be performing hits from his most recent album, Avalon.

A different kind of music in Northern Ireland will be echoing around Belfast on November 21st, when UB40 take to the stage at the Odyssey Arena and play hits such as Red Red Wine.ADNFCR-1859-ID-19428045-ADNFCR
