Fans of music in Northern Ireland could soon be able to attend one of the biggest traditional music festivals in the whole country, after plans were revealed to hold it in the north for the first time.
Comholtas Ceoltoiri Eireann is contemplating holding the event in Northern Ireland to celebrate its culture and that of the whole nation.
It will be the first time the festival is held in Northern Ireland and Dominic Bradley, the Social Democratic and Labour Party Newry and Armagh member of the legislative assembly, told 4ni.co.uk that the news is great for everyone.
"The Fleadh Cheoil is now a major international cultural event and the organisers have developed great skill and expertise in making it a genuinely inclusive event," he said.
In other news, music in Northern Ireland fans can catch The Belfast Music Tour, which promises visitors great tunes, from August 30th.
