A family event is being staged to celebrate the reopening of Belfast's magnificent City Hall, with people of all ages invited to come along.
The Family Weekend on October 17th and 18th will include a carnival and a spectacular caterpillar parade, which will mark the beginning of two weeks of activities.
In addition, a number of workshops are being held to commemorate the City Hall's reopening, with craft activities in Northern Ireland's capital taking place on the Sunday, said Naomi Long, mayor of Belfast.
"Our aim is to highlight the ethos of public ownership of this wonderful building. This is everyone's City Hall and it is hoped that people from all parts of Belfast will join in the fun throughout the reopening celebrations," she explained.
Alternatively, those visiting Belfast this Friday (September 25th) will be able to go on a number of free tours in Northern Ireland, which will uncover some of the hidden gems of the city and inform people about its history.
