Painter Pat Cowley has spoken about the landscape in Derry and Donegal, which he says provides all the natural beauty and landscapes any artist could ask for.
In an interview with Culturenorthernireland.org, Mr Cowley said Londonderry, known as Derry, is rich with majestic views and luscious-green scenery, which are perfect for those who enjoy capturing scenes on canvas.
Artists who like painting landscapes could add Derry and Donegal to the list of attractions in Northern Ireland which they are keen to see and paint, as there is everything a good picture requires.
"I have access to all the landscape a painter could dream of - from the soft green landscape of County Derry/Tyrone to the rugged wilderness of Donegal and, of course, the coast which is only ten minutes away," he told the news provider.
Those planning to travel in Northern Ireland could also enjoy Derry's other attractions, including the City Walls, Tower Museum and St Columb's Cathedral.
