This weekend, children in Derry, also known as Londonderry, can take part in a Mad Hatters Tea Party, cycle tours and meet a barn owl, as part of the Play for a Change event.
The free event, running from 12:00 to 16:00 GMT, will see children from across the area descend on St. Columb's Park for a family day out.
It will mark the official opening of the Adventure Play Environment in the greenland, while a number of events will be put on to entertain kids of all ages and tastes, including bird feeder making, guided history and tree tours and bicycle tours of the area.
Children will also be able to enjoy the Adventure Play Environment which has zip lines, rope swings and climbing walls.
Julie Corry, biodiversity officer for Derry City Council, said: "It's not every day that you can meet a real live barn owl, however this is just one of the many interactive events taking place on the day."
The St. Columb's Park Breathing Place has been funded by Big Lottery Fund and is part of the BBC scheme of the same name.
