Country and gospel stars heading to Newtown

Fans of music in Northern Ireland will not want to miss out on the concert taking place at the Newtownstewart 2000 Centre in Newtown on November 3rd, where some of the best talent from the gospel and country genres will perform, the Strabane Times reports.

The line-up includes Banbridge collective Country Harmony, Shawn Cuddy and the "popular" Benn Sisters Carrie and Leanne, who have recorded with artists such as Jimmy Buckley, Moe Bandy and Mike Denver.

Joining them will be Kenny Paul from Maghera, County Donegal's Paula Diver, the Singing Trucker, Maurice Soye and Laura Johnston, the news provider states.

Martin Moore, from Ballymoney, will be the compere for the evening and it will be his first visit to the area.

In other news, Snow Patrol have announced they will embark on a UK arena tour next year.

The road show will end with a performance at Belfast's Odyssey on March 19th.
