City waterfront hosts Katherine Jenkins

The Belfast Waterfront is preparing to host one of the world's opera superstars.

Welsh singing phenomenon Katherine Jenkins is scheduled to appear at the venue on November 24th.

Visitors to Northern Ireland can hear the double classical Brit Award winner perform songs from her four albums to date.

Ms Jenkins was the first British classical artist to have two number one albums in the same year and has previously simultaneously held the number one, two, three and four positions in the classical album chart.

Tickets for the Belfast Waterfront show range from £20 to £38.50 with it intended to be a warm-up show for the singer's 13-date UK tour which begins on December 1st.

Fellow multi-million record selling artists Coldplay are also set to play Northern Ireland.

The band, currently touring following the release of Viva La Vida, will play the Odyssey Arena in Belfast on the 19th and 23rd of December.
