Christmas cheer in Coleraine

15 December 2008 -

Those planning to travel in Northern Ireland will not want to miss the Causeway Speciality Christmas Market on Saturday December 20th in the town centre.

Several local and regional stallholders will set up camp in the Diamond area showcasing a range of handicrafts, gifts, food and drink.

There will be a selection of items available, including bespoke glass designs, jewellery, scented candles and custom-made soft toys.

Culinary connoisseurs meanwhile can enjoy a wide range of foodstuffs and drink, with everything from freshly-baked bread and pies to speciality tea and coffees on offer.

Market manager Orla Black says those looking to sample locally-sourced food in Northern Ireland can find what they are looking for at the fair.

"The Causeway Speciality Market has grown to become the biggest outdoor speciality market in Northern Ireland and offers produce which is reassuringly local," she said.

In other news, fire-eater Rainer Krippner is performing his array of tricks at the Belfast Christmas Market each Friday.
