Castle Archdale Country Park 'showcases nature in Northern Ireland'

27 October 2009 -

Lovers of nature in Northern Ireland should head to the Castle Archdale Country Park near Co Fermanagh for its autumn celebrations.

An event that took place over last weekend highlighted the beauty of the area, which is in the Co Fermanagh Lakeland region, 4ni.co.uk reports.

A tree sculptor used nature in Northern Ireland to create art work from fallen branches and logs, while people were guided around the woodland areas at the site.

Although the event is over, there are still numerous nature trails and walks in its 230-acre expanse that could appeal to those who love nature in Northern Ireland.

Conaire McNeary, from the Northern Ireland Environment Agency, highlighted the event's role in bringing the area to people's attention.

She told the news provider: "This event will help to show the beauty and importance of nature and the season of autumn in the natural surroundings of Castle Archdale."

In other news, visitors can now use the new Ulster Way walk to see nature in Northern Ireland at its best, the Guardian's Rhiannon Batten recently claimed.ADNFCR-1859-ID-19427776-ADNFCR
