An upcoming event at Carrickfergus Museum will provide visitors with information on the area's past and give an insight into life in the country.
Beginning in December, those visiting Carrickfergus can enjoy the showcase, which is part of the Mid-Antrim Museums Service Community History Programme and will look at the impact of change on Carnlough and Glenarm in the 1960s and the preservation of local identity and traditions.
The main focus of the exhibition will be determining how innovations in the 1960s brought the area out of the post-war period and how these historical events in Northern Ireland made the region what it is today.
In addition, the role played by the Larne and District Folklore Society in preserving local identity will also be explored.
Those visiting Carrickfergus later this month can get into the Christmas spirit early, as a Victorian street fair on November 28th will be one of many festive events in Northern Ireland marking the run up to December 25th.
