Belly laughs in Belfast

If it is laughs you are after, Belfast could be the place for you later this month.

One of the must-see tours in Northern Ireland in 2009 is sure to be Jimmy Carr's latest stand-up offering.

The much-loved TV personality returns to his roots and takes to the stage at a range of venues across the country over the coming weeks.

A date at Derry's St Columb's Hall on February 28th will be sandwiched between three gigs at Belfast's Waterfront Hall Auditorium.

Fans wanting to catch the one liner-specialist, who has come to widespread attention through appearances on the likes of Eight Out Of Ten Cats and Your Face Or Mine?, must act quickly, as two of the four performances have already sold out.

Later in the year, Eddie Izzard will bring his wild show to Belfast in what could prove to be one of the most popular tours in Northern Ireland in 2009.
