Visitors to Belfast have new accommodation in Northern Ireland to stay in if a £100 million plan to redevelop an area is approved.
Land adjacent to the Odyssey entertainment complex could be used to build a promenade, leisure complex, shops and two hotels.
The plans have been put forward by the Odyssey Trust, which hopes to secure permission in 12 months.
Robert Fitzpatrick, chief executive of the trust, said: "After much creative and innovative work, we have submitted a master plan that begins to articulate our vision for the future."
Brian Hughes, operations director for the complex, said that the scheme will mean the Odyssey area is less isolated and becomes a "better accessed, multi-use, 24-hour environment."
Currently in the complex is the Odyssey Arena, which hosts a number of live events in Northern Ireland, from children's shows to music performances and live comedy acts.
Spandau Ballet will be performing at the venue later this month on October 14th as part of their comeback tour.
