Belfast market to provide continental food in Northern Ireland

13 November 2009 -

The upcoming Christmas Continental Market in Belfast will provide attendees with a diverse mix of food in Northern Ireland.

Those visiting the event, which takes place at the City Hall between November 17th and December 19th, will be able to pick up items from a range of different cultures, with German, French and Dutch cuisine topping the bill.

As well as traditional food in Northern Ireland and beer from local breweries, attendees will be able to sample Bratwurst sausages, Spanish paella, waffles, French crepes and Dutch pancakes.

In addition, there will be Greek dips, garlic soup from Switzerland and Polish bigos, which is a traditional stew designed to keep Christmas shoppers warm on the cold nights.

The festive season will begin in earnest later this month, when Belfast's Christmas lights are switched on by children's TV favourite Bob the Builder in a ceremony also featuring seasonal music in Northern Ireland.ADNFCR-1859-ID-19459023-ADNFCR
