Holidaymakers hoping to travel in Northern Ireland are to benefit from a £10 million upgrade at Belfast International Airport.
The development will create space for over 20 retail, food and beverage outlets as well as relocating the central security search to speed passengers' journeys through the hub.
John Doran, managing director of the airport, anticipates that the initiative will make the hub more user-friendly.
He added: "Our exciting plans to improve the terminal building will transform Belfast International Airport. We will be creating modern, spacious and service-focused facilities designed to make the airport easy and convenient to use."
Mr Doran went on to say the day to day operations of the facility are unlikely to be affected and the necessary steps are being taken to ensure that passengers are not unduly inconvenienced.
Last month, representatives for George Best Belfast City Airport announced new access arrangements meaning that people wishing to drop off passengers must now enter the short-stay car park.
