Antrim has an "abundance of natural resources" according to Kevin Guinchard, visitor servicing officer with the borough council, making it the perfect location for travellers to enjoy adventure activities in Northern Ireland.
Mr Guinchard made the statement ahead of the area's tourism conference which takes place on January 23rd and 24th.
The event will focus on 'Activities Tourism' and will show visitors how the borough could be a great place for those who enjoy sports associated with the natural environment.
He stated Antrim is ideal for those in pursuit of these kinds of activities in Northern Ireland.
"[The conference] provides a fantastic opportunity to showcase our borough, which has an abundance of natural resources, and to highlight the latest developments in our tourism industry," Mr Guinchard added.
Visitors to Antrim can enjoy activities such as cycling along the Loughshore Trail, guided tours of the town, coarse fishing on the Six Mile Water river and much more.
