The city of Lisburn will play host to an array of events in May to kick off its 400th anniversary celebrations.
From May 1st to 23rd, the CityFest programme of events will see performances of contemporary and classical music, open air concerts, family fun days, vintage car displays and historical exhibitions take place.
The month of festivities will begin with an outdoor music concert in Moira Demesne, which will take place on May 2nd, while a major exhibition on the 17th century city will open at Lisburn Museum in Market Square on May 23rd.
City mayor Ronnie Crawford commented: "We are very proud of Lisburn's history and heritage and hope that our May CityFest brochure will provide a variety of event experiences for all age-groups and interests."
The 400th anniversary celebrations will continue in September, when the BBC Proms in the Park concert will be staged in the grounds of Hillsborough Castle in Lisburn.
