About

Welcome to Titanic Belfast, a world-leading, award-winning visitor experience that rightly sits at the top of visitors’ must-see list when they arrive into the city.

This is an incredible opportunity to learn all about Titanic’s history, just a few minutes from where the ship herself was famously designed, built and launched in 1911. The self-guided tour tells the Titanic’s story from conception through to its first and final journey across the Atlantic, as well as the historical and cultural impact on Belfast and beyond.

Interpretative, interactive and split over nine awe-inspiring galleries, The Titanic Experience leaves no stone unturned in retelling the ship’s incredible story. Step back in time to her beginnings in a city and industry that ultimately shaped history through the building of RMS Titanic; arguably the world’s most impressive, most magnificent ship.

Pass through the original, iconic Harland & Wolff gates on your way to experiencing the breathtaking exhibits. The cabins, hallways, engine rooms and more have been recreated to give a true understanding of the feats of design and engineering that were accomplished here. Gaze at the things the passengers would have looked at and interacted with on board, and listen to what they heard.

In 2023, the Titanic Experience unveiled upgraded galleries which have enhanced the latter portion of the ship's tale, focusing on what happened as and after she sank. The human stories are brought to the fore through memorial walls with the names of the men, women and children tragically lost, while in the Never Again gallery the chain of events that caused the ship to sink are examined. Learn more about the team that finally located the ship, her lasting legacy and impact on modern culture. Keep an eye out for the opportunity to recreate the iconic ‘Jack and Rose’ pose on the bow of the RMS Titanic, a fun, free photo opportunity, which also signifies the end of the experience.

Ultimately, this is an enthralling and engaging experience, which will leave you feeling inspired and reflective, but also hopeful. And as you walk out towards modern day Belfast, you'll find lots more culture on the doorstep ready and waiting.

Titanic Belfast is an accessible building - full detail on this can be found at titanicbelfast.com/accessibility.
