P.L.A.C.E
P.L.A.C.E. is a joint project between the Royal Society of Ulster Architects and Belfast City Council which opened in September 2004. P.L.A.C.E. is part of a growing international network of architecture centres and is the first of its kind on the island of Ireland.
It is was established primarily to act as a focus for education, information sharing and debate on aspects of the built environment, targeting both the general public and those who have a role in developing the built environment.
P.L.A.C.E. delivers a programme of exhibitions, workshops, seminars and events from its premises in Belfast, but also on an outreach basis throughout Northern Ireland.
The P.L.A.C.E. bookshop stocks a variety of architecture, design and environmental books and other publications.
Opening Hours are 11.30am to 5.30pm Wednesday, Friday and Saturday and 11.30am to 5.30pm Thursday. PLACE is closed Sunday and Monday and Tuesday is for administration purposes only.
