A secret garden to the rear of a listed Georgian terrace house in Hillsborough, has evolved in a curvaceous traditional style with old stone wall boundary of government House. An oasis of calm with views over a stone wall to a lake with swans. Garden can facilitate groups of up to 50 persons.

Things to do locally:

Stroll up the long grass lined avenue of St Malachy's Parish church just opposite, at the top turn left to see one of the oldest graveyards in the area , or turn right at the top and make your way to Hillsborough Fort Gates, where a plaque commemorates the signing of the Regium Domum, by King William on his way down to the Boyne valley.

Take a walk up to the rear of the fort and stand on top of the dry moat bank to look down over Hillsborough Forest Park, or take a relaxing stroll right around the lake in time for lunch or dinner at one of the local hosteleries, The Plough, The Hillside, or The Marquis.

Hillsborough village has several coffee shops, a Chocolatiere an art gallery a craft shop, among a variety of others.

Hillsborough Castle and grounds are open on most Saturday mornings in season. Check with Tourist Info Centre at same location, at the top of the hill.

There is partial disabled access. Tea and coffee with biscuits available on request.
