Fun Days Out

Northern Ireland is the perfect family holiday spot. With a variety of attractions on its doorstep, you will be spoilt for choice. One thing is for sure, the kids will not be bored!

Relax and unwind in the great outdoors; pack a picnic and explore one of Northern Ireland's lush green forests, enjoy the animal antics in Castle Espie, Clementsmount, Watertop, Streamvale or one of our other many open farms, zoos or aquariums, or take in a tour: bus, steam train or coach - we have them all!

Adventurous families can get active - Speedway Indoor Karting, Laserforce NI and The Ozone are just some of the activity centres and venues perfect for those thrill-seeking sporty types.

Also well worth a visit are our fun parks.  Pickie Family Fun Park at Bangor seafront in County Down is always popular - with adults and children alike!  Long-established Barrys Amusements in Portrush is the largest amusement park in Ireland, offering a large variety of indoor and outdoor rides and attractions.  Also in Portrush is the ever popular Waterworld, which includes a children's play pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzis as well as a bowling alley.

Younger children will love our indoor play centres - Funky Monkeys in both Lurgan and Downpatrick, and Cheeky Monkeys in Ballyclare are great spots that will keep the kids entertained for hours.  Each centre also has an excellent café on site for mum and dad to relax and unwind.

The fun does not end here. Museums can be great family fun too! Those seeking culture can expand their mind and have fun at any of Northern Ireland's fantastic museums. Travel back in time at the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum, Ulster American Folk Park and Tower Museum, or test your brain with a range of puzzles at W5 - whowhatwherewhenwhy.

All around Northern Ireland historic grounds and buildings are opening up their gates to families and visitors; from the grounds and farmhouse of the Georgian Tannaghmore, to the larger-scale estates such as Florence Court - and everything in between.
