Fermanagh's Desert islands

In the lush, green county of Fermanagh you will find many islands to explore. 

Lough Erne is dotted with wooded islands, favourite destinations for locals and visitors from prehistoric times.  If you love mystery, visit Boa and White Islands with their intriguing stone idols. For a more spiritual experience, marvel at the perfect round tower on Devinish Island which was an early Christian centre. There is nothing like the freedom of leaving the car behind and hopping aboard the waterbuses and tour cruises along Lough Erne.  You can even hire or bring your own boat as there are plenty of marinas. Even Fermanagh's main town, Enniskillen is an island and is buzzing with pubs, shops and restaurants.
